Artist with PCH2
“My name is Damien and I am a disabled artist.”
This is how 29-year-old Damien from Canada introduces himself on his website. But Damien doesn’t just have any disability.
Damien has PCH2. And Damien paints.
With his soft colors and beautiful gradients, Damien invites us into his world.
Damien’s acrylic paintings, some powerful, some more gentle, are a unique form of expression for a person with PCH2.
One piece stands out in particular – a delicate dragonfly in shades of blue.
The dragonfly is a symbol of pontocerebellar hypoplasia.
Only very few people with PCH2 will ever be able to paint, so Damien is an exceptional person. But he proves that the motto of the PCH2 family,
Everyone said it couldn’t be done, then someone came along who didn’t know and just did it anyways,
has its justification and should always encourage us.
Damien would like to donate part of the proceeds from his art to PCH2cure. We are very grateful for this.
